My dollmaking future
As time goes on and I'm preparing for the upcoming Quinlan Doll and Teddybear Show in Philadelphia, I'm realizing what I want the future to be for my creations. I enjoy sculpting and creating the ideas I have in my head. I'm not really sure I want to do dolls or sculpts to look like a specific person....something I have to think about. I'm finding I'm much better at letting my own creativity flow without restrictions. I'm extremely grateful for everyone who has supported me and I'm hoping to just continue to get better and better. This doll show will be a first for me...I'm a little nervous but know that it's a step I have to take and I'm very excited about it. I'm thankful to my mom who walked into a Michaels Craft Store with me 5 years ago and I picked up my first package of polymer clay thinking I was just going to create some simple charms, etc. I've since switched to paperclay, thanks to some new friends I have met, and feel very lucky to have them in my life. It's amazing where this journey has taken me and I couldn't be happier. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
